  1. Lie on the back with the knees bent and feet flat.
  2. Place a foam roller across the mid back.
  3. Cross the arms over the chest or place hands behind the head.
  4. Brace the core and keep the hips lifted.
  5. Roll the mid back slowly along the roller.
  6. Pause on tender spots for several breaths.
  7. Allow the upper body to fall back over the roller for extension.
  8. Continue for the working time.
