Description

The bottle weighted side bend uses a filled water bottle as a substitute weight for a side bend. The lifter holds the bottle in one hand and bends sideways. It is a useful home option for training the obliques.

Bottle Side Bend Instructions

  1. Hold a filled water bottle in one hand at the side.
  2. Stand with the feet hip width apart.
  3. Place the other hand on the hip.
  4. Brace your core and keep the chest up.
  5. Bend sideways toward the bottle hand.
  6. Pause briefly at the bottom.
  7. Drive the obliques to lift the torso back up.
  8. Finish all reps then switch sides.
