  1. Lie on the back with the knees bent and feet flat.
  2. Place a foam roller along the side of the spine.
  3. Brace the core and keep the head supported.
  4. Lift the hips slightly to load the roller.
  5. Shift the body slowly along the length of the erector.
  6. Pause on tender spots for several breaths.
  7. Avoid pressing directly on the spine.
  8. Continue for the working time then switch sides.
