Dumbbell One Arm Incline Chest Press
Description
The dumbbell one-arm incline chest press performs an incline dumbbell press with one arm at a time. The asymmetric load demands core anti-rotation strength while building the upper chest unilaterally. It exposes left-right pressing imbalances.
Equipment Required
Dumbbell One Arm Incline Chest Press Instructions
- Set an incline bench to 30 to 45 degrees. Lie back with a dumbbell in your right hand at your right chest.
- Place your left hand on your abs, at your side, or on the bench for support.
- Plant your feet firmly. Brace your core hard.
- Press the right dumbbell up to lockout above your chest.
- Lower under control.
- Fight the urge to rotate — maintain a flat back against the bench.
- Complete reps, then switch sides.
- Use moderate weight due to asymmetric load. Aim for 8 to 12 reps per side.
