Description

The dumbbell incline tricep extension performs lying tricep extensions on an incline bench. The incline angle increases the stretch on the long head of the tricep at the bottom, providing a greater stimulus than flat bench extensions.

Dumbbell Incline Triceps Extension Instructions

  1. Set an incline bench to 30 to 45 degrees. Sit and lean back with a dumbbell in each hand.
  2. Press the dumbbells above your chest, arms extended.
  3. Keep upper arms vertical. Bend at the elbows to lower the dumbbells behind your head.
  4. Lower until you feel a deep stretch in your triceps.
  5. Extend your elbows to press back to lockout.
  6. Squeeze your triceps at the top.
  7. The incline increases the long-head stretch.
  8. Use moderate weight. Aim for 10 to 12 reps.
