Description

The cable lying front raise is performed lying on your back on the floor or a flat bench with cables attached to a low pulley behind you. Raising the cable handle from the floor up over your chest trains the front delt with constant tension and strict form, eliminating lower body cheating.

Cable Lying Front Raise Instructions

  1. Set a cable to the lowest pulley with a single handle.
  2. Lie on your back on the floor with the cable behind your head.
  3. Grip the handle and extend your arm overhead behind you.
  4. Brace your core and press your back to the floor.
  5. Raise the handle in an arc up and over your chest.
  6. Continue until your arm is roughly perpendicular to the floor.
  7. Squeeze your front delt at the top.
  8. Slowly lower the handle back to the starting position behind you.
