Strongman Keg Toss Instructions

  1. Stand in front of a keg with the high bar behind you.
  2. Squat down and grip the keg handles or hug the keg.
  3. Stand up explosively by driving through your hips.
  4. As the keg rises, transition to an overhead throw — toss the keg up and over the bar behind you.
  5. Use your hips, back, and shoulders to generate maximum throwing power.
  6. Immediately move to the next keg and repeat.
  7. Speed matters — minimize transition time between kegs.
  8. This is a strongman competition event — practice with light implements first.
