Description
The strongman keg toss is a competition event where you pick up a series of kegs or barrels and throw them over a high bar behind you. It demands explosive hip drive, overhead throwing power, and fast transitions between kegs.
Equipment Required
Strongman Keg Toss Instructions
- Stand in front of a keg with the high bar behind you.
- Squat down and grip the keg handles or hug the keg.
- Stand up explosively by driving through your hips.
- As the keg rises, transition to an overhead throw — toss the keg up and over the bar behind you.
- Use your hips, back, and shoulders to generate maximum throwing power.
- Immediately move to the next keg and repeat.
- Speed matters — minimize transition time between kegs.
- This is a strongman competition event — practice with light implements first.
