This exercise involves lifting and carrying heavy spherical stones, typically made of concrete or stone, onto platforms of varying heights. It requires a combination of strength, technique, and endurance.

Strongman Atlas Stones Instructions

  1. Stand in front of the StrongMan Atlas Stones with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Squat down and grip the stone with both hands, keeping your back straight and your chest up.
  3. Use your legs and hips to lift the stone off the ground and bring it up to your lap.
  4. Lean back slightly and hug the stone to your chest.
  5. Take a deep breath and brace your core.
  6. Drive your feet into the ground and explosively lift the stone up to your shoulder.
  7. Hold the stone on your shoulder for a few seconds, then lower it back down to your lap.
  8. Repeat for the desired number of reps.
