Description
The PVC good morning is a hip-hinge teaching drill where you hold a PVC pipe or broomstick across your upper back (like a barbell) and perform a good morning — hinging at the hips while keeping a flat back. It teaches the good morning pattern with no load before progressing to a barbell.

Pvc Good Morning Instructions
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart. Place a PVC pipe or broomstick across your upper traps (like a back squat).
- Grip the pipe with both hands. Stand tall. Brace your core.
- Push your hips straight back while keeping your back flat.
- Bend your knees slightly. Your torso should hinge forward until it is roughly parallel to the floor.
- Feel the stretch through your hamstrings.
- Drive your hips forward to stand back up. Squeeze your glutes at the top.
- Maintain a flat back throughout — if your back rounds, the hinge is too deep.
- Repeat for 10 to 15 reps as a warm-up or movement drill.
