Lever Standing Leg Raise

Description

The lever standing leg raise is performed on a hip flexion machine while standing upright. The pad rests against the front of the thigh as the leg lifts up against resistance. It is excellent for loading the hip flexors and lower abs in a functional standing position.

Lever Standing Leg Raise Instructions

  1. Stand on the lever leg raise machine with one foot on the platform.
  2. Position the pad on the front of the working leg thigh.
  3. Grip the handles for stability.
  4. Stand tall with chest up.
  5. Brace your core and keep your standing leg slightly bent.
  6. Lift the working leg by driving the knee up against the pad.
  7. Continue until the thigh is parallel to the floor or higher.
  8. Lower slowly back to the start. Complete reps on one side before switching.
