Description
The band standing straight leg raise is a standing hip flexor isolation move. The lifter loops a band around one ankle anchored low behind, then raises the leg straight forward against the band. It builds the hip flexors with constant resistance.

- Anchor a resistance band low behind you.
- Loop the other end around one ankle.
- Step forward to take tension on the band.
- Stand tall with hands on a wall or chair for support.
- Brace your core and keep the standing leg straight.
- Raise the working leg straight forward against the band.
- Lift to about hip height squeezing the hip flexor.
- Lower back to the start with control. Complete reps and switch sides.
