  1. Set the assistance weight on an assisted pull up machine.
  2. Grip the close handles with palms facing you.
  3. Step or kneel onto the assistance pad.
  4. Hang from the handles with arms fully extended.
  5. Brace your core and keep the chest up.
  6. Pull the chest up toward the hands.
  7. Squeeze the biceps and lats at the top.
  8. Lower with control to a full hang.
