Description
The lever assisted chin up uses an assisted pull up machine that provides counterweight assistance during a chin up. By selecting the assistance weight, you can perform chin ups with progressively less help as you build strength. It is a strong stepping stone to bodyweight chin ups.

Lever Assisted Chin Up Instructions
- Set the assisted pull up machine with appropriate counterweight.
- Stand on the kneeling pad or platform.
- Grip the chin up handles with palms facing you (underhand grip).
- Brace your core and pull your shoulders back.
- Pull your body up by bending at the elbows and driving them down.
- Continue until your chin clears the bar level.
- Squeeze your back and biceps at the top.
- Lower yourself back down with control to a full hang.
