The sled one leg calf press on the leg press machine isolates one calf at a time. The ball of one foot pushes the platform up by extending the ankle while the other foot is removed.

Sled One Leg Calf Press on Leg Press Instructions

  1. Set up on a leg press machine and unrack the safeties.
  2. Place the ball of one foot near the bottom edge of the platform.
  3. Remove the other foot from the platform.
  4. Press the platform up by extending the ankle of the working foot.
  5. Stop at full plantar flexion and squeeze the calf.
  6. Lower the platform by bending the ankle for a stretch.
  7. Continue for all reps without locking the knee.
  8. Switch sides and repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
