Description

The hack one leg calf raise uses a hack squat machine to load single leg calf raises. The lifter sets up under the pads and performs calf raises one leg at a time. The machine support allows heavy unilateral calf training.

Hack One Leg Calf Raise Instructions

  1. Set up in a hack squat machine with the pads on the shoulders.
  2. Place one foot on the platform with the heel hanging off.
  3. Lift the other leg off the platform.
  4. Brace your core and keep the working leg straight.
  5. Lower the heel below the platform for a stretch.
  6. Press up onto the ball of the foot to a full calf raise.
  7. Squeeze the calf hard at the top.
  8. Finish all reps then switch sides.
