Description

The barbell standing wrist reverse curl is a forearm extensor exercise performed standing with the bar held in front of the thighs with an overhand grip. By extending the wrists upward against the bar weight, you train the forearm extensors directly. It builds the back of the forearm for full arm thickness.

Barbell Standing Wrist Reverse Curl Instructions

  1. Stand tall with feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Hold a barbell at thigh level with an overhand grip, hands shoulder-width apart.
  3. Allow the bar to rest against the front of your thighs.
  4. Brace your core and pin your elbows against your sides.
  5. Lower the bar by extending your wrists down toward the floor.
  6. Allow the bar to roll back through your fingers slightly at the bottom.
  7. Curl the bar back up by extending your wrists upward.
  8. Squeeze the forearm extensors at the top of the curl.
