Description
The single leg calf stretch is a basic standing calf stretch. The lifter steps forward into a long stance and keeps the back leg straight while pressing the back heel into the floor. It stretches the gastrocnemius of the back leg.

Single Leg Calf Stretch Instructions
- Stand facing a wall with hands placed on it for support.
- Step one foot back into a long stance.
- Set the back foot flat on the floor pointing straight ahead.
- Keep the back leg straight and front knee bent.
- Press the hips forward toward the wall.
- Drive the back heel into the floor.
- Hold the stretch with steady breath.
- Step back to standing. Switch legs and repeat.
