Description

The front plank toe tap is a plank variation that adds hip abduction. The lifter holds a high plank and taps one foot out wide to the side and back, then alternates. The toe taps load the glutes and obliques while the plank stays steady.

Front Plank Toe Tap Instructions

  1. Begin in a high plank position with hands under the shoulders.
  2. Set the body in a straight line from head to heels.
  3. Brace your core hard and keep the hips level.
  4. Tap one foot out wide to the side.
  5. Bring it back to the start.
  6. Tap the other foot out wide to the other side.
  7. Bring it back to the start.
  8. Continue alternating side toe taps with control.
