Description
The decline shoulder tap is a plank shoulder tap with the feet elevated on a box or bench. The decline angle adds more upper body load and increases the anti-rotation challenge while one hand taps the opposite shoulder. It is a strong core and shoulder builder.
Equipment Required
Decline Shoulder Tap Instructions
- Place your feet on a sturdy box or bench.
- Set your hands flat on the floor under your shoulders.
- Brace your core hard and keep the body in a straight line.
- Squeeze the glutes to keep the hips stable.
- Lift one hand off the floor and tap the opposite shoulder.
- Hold the tap briefly without letting the hips rotate.
- Plant the hand back down and repeat with the other hand.
- Continue alternating taps with control.
