Description
The assisted standing triceps dip is a regression of the bench dip for trainees who cannot do a full bodyweight dip. The lifter places the hands behind on a low bench and assists with the legs to press out of a dip. It builds the triceps with reduced load.
Equipment Required
Assisted Standing Triceps Dip Instructions
- Set up a low bench or sturdy chair behind you.
- Place the hands on the edge of the bench shoulder width apart.
- Step the feet forward keeping the legs bent for support.
- Lower the body by bending the elbows.
- Keep the elbows tracking back behind the body.
- Lower until the upper arms are parallel to the floor.
- Press the body up by extending the elbows assisted by the legs.
- Squeeze the triceps hard at the top.
