Incline Shoulder Tap
Description
The incline shoulder tap is a regressed shoulder tap performed with the hands elevated on a box or bench. The incline angle reduces the load on the upper body and core while still training the anti-rotation pattern. It is a beginner-friendly plank tap.
Equipment Required
Incline Shoulder Tap Instructions
- Place your hands on a sturdy box or bench.
- Step the feet back to a plank position.
- Brace your core hard and keep the body in a straight line.
- Squeeze the glutes to keep the hips stable.
- Lift one hand off the surface and tap the opposite shoulder.
- Hold the tap briefly without letting the hips rotate.
- Plant the hand back down and repeat with the other hand.
- Continue alternating taps with control.
