Description

The incline shoulder tap is a regressed shoulder tap performed with the hands elevated on a box or bench. The incline angle reduces the load on the upper body and core while still training the anti-rotation pattern. It is a beginner-friendly plank tap.

Incline Shoulder Tap Instructions

  1. Place your hands on a sturdy box or bench.
  2. Step the feet back to a plank position.
  3. Brace your core hard and keep the body in a straight line.
  4. Squeeze the glutes to keep the hips stable.
  5. Lift one hand off the surface and tap the opposite shoulder.
  6. Hold the tap briefly without letting the hips rotate.
  7. Plant the hand back down and repeat with the other hand.
  8. Continue alternating taps with control.
