Bottle Weighted Rear Lunge
Description
The bottle weighted rear lunge uses weighted bottles in each hand to load a reverse step-back lunge. The hands hang at the sides while the legs do the work. The reverse step is gentler on the front knee than a forward lunge.

Bottle Weighted Rear Lunge Instructions
- Stand tall with feet hip-width apart, holding a weighted bottle in each hand.
- Let the bottles hang at your sides with arms straight.
- Brace your core and keep your chest up.
- Step backward with one leg into a long lunge stance.
- Lower until the back knee nearly touches the floor.
- Keep the front knee tracking over your front toe.
- Drive through the front heel to step back to standing.
- Alternate legs each rep.
