Description

The bottle weighted lateral raise uses water jugs or weighted bottles in each hand for a standing side delt raise. It is a great home option for shoulder training when dumbbells are not available. The bottles can be filled with water or sand to scale the resistance.

Bottle Weighted Lateral Raise Instructions

  1. Stand tall with feet hip-width apart, holding a weighted bottle in each hand.
  2. Let the bottles hang at your sides with palms facing your body.
  3. Brace your core and keep your chest up.
  4. With a slight bend in the elbows, raise the bottles out to your sides.
  5. Lift until your arms are parallel to the floor.
  6. Pause briefly at the top.
  7. Lower the bottles slowly back to your sides.
  8. Maintain the slight elbow bend throughout.
