Description
The bar band standing side bend is an oblique drill using a resistance band anchored low. Holding the band overhead with one hand and bending sideways away from the anchor loads the obliques against tension that grows as the body bends.

Bar Band Standing Side Bend Instructions
- Anchor a resistance band at low height to a stable point.
- Stand sideways to the anchor with feet shoulder width apart.
- Grab the band overhead with the far side hand.
- Brace the core and keep the chest up.
- Stand tall with the band stretched.
- Bend laterally away from the anchor.
- Squeeze the working oblique on the bending side.
- Return to the start and continue for all reps then switch.
