The band standing twisting crunch is a standing crunch with rotation using a resistance band anchored at chest height. As you crunch your torso forward, you twist toward one side, loading the obliques against the band tension. It is a strong choice for standing oblique training.

Band Standing Twisting Crunch Instructions

  1. Anchor a resistance band at chest height.
  2. Stand sideways to the anchor, gripping the band ends with both hands at your chest.
  3. Step away to create tension.
  4. Brace your abs and stand tall.
  5. Crunch your torso forward and twist away from the anchor.
  6. Bring the band ends across your body toward the far hip.
  7. Squeeze the obliques hard at the bottom of the twist.
  8. Return to the starting position. Complete reps then switch sides.
