Description
The punch step forward is a cardio boxing drill that combines a forward step with a straight punch. The lifter steps forward with one foot and throws a straight punch with the same side arm. The drill builds conditioning and trains coordination.
Equipment Required
Punch Step Forward Instructions
- Stand tall with feet hip-width apart.
- Set the hands up in a guard position near the chin.
- Step one foot forward.
- Throw a straight punch with the same side arm.
- Pull the punching arm back to guard.
- Step the foot back to the start.
- Repeat with the other side stepping and punching.
- Continue alternating sides at a steady cadence.
