  1. Stand near a wall or rail and hold it for support.
  2. Stand on one foot with the other foot lifted.
  3. Brace the core and keep the chest up.
  4. Drive the working knee up to a high knee position.
  5. Pause briefly at the top.
  6. Drive the heel back to kick toward the glutes.
  7. Pause briefly with the heel up.
  8. Continue alternating high knee and butt kick then switch sides.
