The seated upper body rotation is a thoracic spine mobility drill done seated. The mover sits tall and rotates the torso from side to side. It is useful for desk workers and as a warm-up.

Seated Upper Body Rotation Instructions

  1. Sit on a bench or chair with the back tall.
  2. Place the hands on the hips or behind the head.
  3. Brace your core and keep the chest up.
  4. Rotate the torso to one side as far as comfortable.
  5. Hold briefly at the rotated position.
  6. Return through center to the other side.
  7. Keep the hips facing forward.
  8. Continue alternating sides.
