Lying Upper Body Rotation
Description
The lying upper body rotation is a thoracic spine mobility drill done lying on the back. The mover keeps the legs together and rotates the upper torso side to side. It is useful for spinal mobility and oblique flexibility.
Equipment Required
Lying Upper Body Rotation Instructions
- Lie on the back with the legs together and bent.
- Drop the knees over to one side.
- Place the arms out to the sides palms up.
- Brace your core and keep the shoulders down.
- Rotate the upper torso to the opposite side of the knees.
- Try to keep both shoulders on the floor.
- Hold the stretch briefly.
- Switch the legs to the other side and repeat.
