Description

The seated row with towel is a creative bodyweight back exercise. The lifter sits on the floor with the legs extended and loops a towel around the feet. Pulling on the towel ends performs a self-resisted seated row that loads the upper back.

Equipment Required

Seated Row with Towel Instructions

  1. Sit on the floor with the legs extended forward.
  2. Loop a sturdy towel around the soles of both feet.
  3. Grab one end of the towel in each hand.
  4. Brace your core and sit tall with chest up.
  5. Pull the towel ends back to row toward your stomach.
  6. Squeeze the upper back hard at the top.
  7. Press the feet against the towel to create resistance.
  8. Lower the towel back forward with control.
