Description
The lying scissors cross is a core exercise performed lying on the back with the legs lifted off the floor. The lifter crosses the straight legs over each other in a scissor pattern. The continuous crossing loads the lower abs and hip flexors.

- Lie flat on your back on the floor.
- Place your hands at your sides or under your hips.
- Lift both legs off the floor a few inches.
- Keep the legs straight and brace your core hard.
- Cross one leg over the other in a scissor motion.
- Uncross and cross the other leg over.
- Continue alternating crosses with control.
- Keep the lower back pressed into the floor.
