Description

The lying scissors cross is a core exercise performed lying on the back with the legs lifted off the floor. The lifter crosses the straight legs over each other in a scissor pattern. The continuous crossing loads the lower abs and hip flexors.

Lying Scissors Cross Instructions

  1. Lie flat on your back on the floor.
  2. Place your hands at your sides or under your hips.
  3. Lift both legs off the floor a few inches.
  4. Keep the legs straight and brace your core hard.
  5. Cross one leg over the other in a scissor motion.
  6. Uncross and cross the other leg over.
  7. Continue alternating crosses with control.
  8. Keep the lower back pressed into the floor.
