Description

The kettlebell bent over alternate twist row is a single-arm row variation that adds a torso twist on each rep. The lifter rows one kettlebell at a time from a bent over position while rotating the torso slightly toward the working side. The twist loads the obliques.

Equipment Required

Kettlebell Bent Over Alternate Twist Row Instructions

  1. Stand holding a kettlebell in each hand at the sides.
  2. Hinge at the hips with a flat back and slight knee bend.
  3. Let the kettlebells hang down with palms facing each other.
  4. Brace your core and keep the back flat.
  5. Row one kettlebell up to the hip while rotating the torso slightly.
  6. Squeeze the lat hard at the top.
  7. Lower with control while rotating the torso back to neutral.
  8. Row the other kettlebell while rotating to that side. Alternate sides.
