  1. Set up a hangboard at a doorway or wall.
  2. Reach up and grip the holds with an open hand grip.
  3. Keep the fingers straight rather than crimped.
  4. Brace your core and keep the shoulders engaged.
  5. Hang from the holds with feet off the floor.
  6. Hold the hang with arms slightly bent.
  7. Lower the feet to the floor when needed.
  8. Continue for the working set.
