Description
The front and back neck stretch is a simple mobility drill that flexes and extends the neck. The slow controlled movement relieves tension and improves cervical spine mobility.
Equipment Required
Front and Back Neck Stretch Instructions
- Stand or sit tall with the chest up and shoulders relaxed.
- Brace the core and keep the spine neutral.
- Slowly tuck the chin and lower the head toward the chest.
- Hold the front stretch briefly and breathe steadily.
- Slowly lift the chin and tilt the head back to look up.
- Hold the back stretch briefly without overextending.
- Return the head to a neutral position.
- Continue alternating front and back stretches for the full set.
