Dumbbell Incline Squeeze Press
Description
The dumbbell incline squeeze press performs a dumbbell press on an incline bench while squeezing the two dumbbells together throughout the movement. The squeeze activates the inner pec fibers and the incline angle targets the upper chest — a double stimulus for upper inner chest development.
Equipment Required
Dumbbell Incline Squeeze Press Instructions
- Set an incline bench to 30 to 45 degrees. Lie back with a dumbbell in each hand.
- Press the dumbbells together at your chest. Maintain firm inward pressure.
- Press both dumbbells up together to lockout, keeping them in contact the entire time.
- Squeeze hard at the top — both the press and the inward squeeze.
- Lower under control. Keep squeezing.
- Do not let the dumbbells separate at any point.
- Use lighter weight than standard incline press due to the squeeze demand.
- Aim for 10 to 12 reps per set.
