Description
The dumbbell close grip shoulder press sit up is a combo movement that combines a weighted sit up with a close-grip shoulder press. After sitting up with dumbbells held at the chest, you press the dumbbells overhead at the top of the sit up. The combination trains the abs and shoulders together with progressive load.
Equipment Required
Dumbbell Close Grip Shoulder Press Sit Up Instructions
- Lie on your back on the floor with feet flat on the floor.
- Hold a dumbbell in each hand at your chest with palms facing each other.
- Brace your abs hard.
- Sit up by curling your torso up.
- Continue until your torso is upright.
- At the top of the sit up, press both dumbbells overhead with arms extended.
- Lower the dumbbells back to the chest.
- Lower yourself back down to the floor with control.
