Description
The cable lying close press is performed lying on a flat bench between two low cables. Pressing handles together with a close grip targets the triceps and inner chest. The cables provide constant tension that builds tricep size and lockout strength.

Cable Lying Close Press Instructions
- Set both cable pulleys to the lowest position with single handles.
- Position a flat bench between the two cable stations.
- Lie back on the bench with handles in each hand.
- Hold the handles together over your chest with arms extended, palms facing each other.
- Plant your feet flat and brace your core.
- Lower the handles to your chest while keeping them close together.
- Allow your elbows to tuck close to your sides as you lower.
- Press the handles back up by extending the elbows. Squeeze the triceps at the top.
