Description
The cable seated close press is performed seated facing a cable station with a close grip on the handles. Pressing the cables forward away from the body with a close hand position targets the triceps heavily. The seated position eliminates leg drive and isolates the upper body work.

Cable Seated Close Press Instructions
- Set both cable pulleys to chest height when seated.
- Sit on a bench facing away from the cable stack.
- Grip a handle in each hand at chest level with palms facing forward.
- Hold the handles close together with elbows tucked.
- Brace your core and pull your shoulders back.
- Press both handles forward and slightly up until your arms are fully extended.
- Bring the handles together at the front of the press.
- Squeeze the triceps and inner chest, then lower with control.
