Description
The bottle weighted lying chest press uses weighted water bottles for an at-home floor press. The lifter lies on the floor or a bench and presses the bottles up over the chest. The floor stops the bottoming out and protects the shoulders.
Equipment Required
Bottle Weighted Lying Chest Press Instructions
- Lie on your back on the floor or a bench.
- Hold a weighted bottle in each hand at chest height.
- Bend the elbows so the upper arms rest on the floor.
- Brace your core and squeeze the chest.
- Press the bottles straight up to lockout above the chest.
- Squeeze the chest hard at the top.
- Lower the bottles back down with control until the elbows touch the floor.
- Press back up to lockout for the next rep.
