Description

The bottle weighted lying chest press uses weighted water bottles for an at-home floor press. The lifter lies on the floor or a bench and presses the bottles up over the chest. The floor stops the bottoming out and protects the shoulders.

Bottle Weighted Lying Chest Press Instructions

  1. Lie on your back on the floor or a bench.
  2. Hold a weighted bottle in each hand at chest height.
  3. Bend the elbows so the upper arms rest on the floor.
  4. Brace your core and squeeze the chest.
  5. Press the bottles straight up to lockout above the chest.
  6. Squeeze the chest hard at the top.
  7. Lower the bottles back down with control until the elbows touch the floor.
  8. Press back up to lockout for the next rep.
