Description
The kettlebell lying on floor chest press is a floor press performed with two kettlebells from a back-down position. The floor stops the elbows at a safe range and removes the bottom portion of the press. The kettlebell offset weight forces extra grip and stabilizer work.
Equipment Required
Kettlebell Lying on Floor Chest Press Instructions
- Lie on the floor with a kettlebell in each hand at chest level.
- Bend your knees with feet flat on the floor.
- Hold the kettlebells with palms facing each other and elbows tucked.
- Brace your core and pin your shoulder blades down.
- Press both kettlebells straight up over your chest.
- Lock out the elbows at the top.
- Lower with control until the back of your upper arms touch the floor.
- Reset and press up for the next rep.
