Description
The band upright shoulder external rotation is a rotator cuff drill done with a band held in both hands. The lifter pulls the band apart by rotating the forearms outward. It is a strong shoulder warm-up and rotator strengthener.

- Grip a resistance band with both hands at chest height.
- Set the elbows at ninety degrees with forearms forward.
- Pin the elbows to the sides of the body.
- Brace your core and keep the chest up.
- Rotate the forearms outward by pulling the band apart.
- Squeeze the rear delts and rotator cuff at the wide position.
- Hold briefly at the top.
- Return with control to the start.
