Description

The assisted chin tuck is a posture drill where the fingers are placed on the chin and used to gently push the head straight back to create a double chin position. The drill retrains forward head posture and strengthens the deep neck flexors.

Assisted Chin Tuck Instructions

  1. Sit or stand tall with shoulders relaxed.
  2. Look straight ahead with the head in a neutral position.
  3. Place two fingers on the front of your chin.
  4. Gently push the chin straight back, not down.
  5. Feel a stretch at the back of the neck.
  6. Create a double chin position briefly.
  7. Hold for a few seconds and release.
  8. Repeat the chin tuck several times in a row.
