Posterior Neck Isometric Instructions

  1. Sit or stand tall with the spine neutral.
  2. Place both hands on the back of your head.
  3. Brace your core and keep the chin slightly tucked.
  4. Push the back of the head back into the hands.
  5. Resist the push with the hands at the same intensity.
  6. Hold the static contraction without movement.
  7. Breathe normally throughout the hold.
  8. Release the press slowly.
