  1. Stand between two weighted pillars or cable handles set to heavy resistance.
  2. Grip one in each hand at arm’s length at your sides.
  3. Stand tall. Brace your core.
  4. Hold the pillars in place. They want to pull your arms outward — resist.
  5. Hold for as long as possible.
  6. The event ends when you can no longer maintain grip or position.
  7. Breathe steadily. Focus on squeezing.
  8. Specialized strongman equipment required for competition version.
