Description

The single leg step up on bench is a basic unilateral leg drill done with a bench as the elevated surface. The lifter steps up onto the bench with one leg using only the working leg to drive the movement.

Single Leg Step Up on Bench Instructions

  1. Stand facing a bench with one foot on top.
  2. Place the other foot flat on the floor behind.
  3. Brace the core and keep the chest up.
  4. Drive through the bench foot to step up.
  5. Bring the trail foot up to meet the lead.
  6. Stand tall on top of the bench briefly.
  7. Step the trail foot back down to the floor.
  8. Continue for all reps then switch sides.
