This exercise involves standing on the edge of a step with one foot and raising the heel of that foot as high as possible, then lowering it back down. It targets the calf muscles and helps improve balance and stability.

Single Leg Calf Raise Off Step Instructions
- Stand on the edge of a step or raised platform with the balls of your feet on the edge and your heels hanging off.
- Place one foot behind the other, keeping your toes on the edge of the step.
- Slowly raise your heel as high as you can, keeping your balance on the ball of your foot.
- Hold for a few seconds at the top of the movement.
- Lower your heel back down below the level of the step, feeling a stretch in your calf muscle.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch legs and repeat on the other side.
