Description
The single-leg calf raise off step performs calf raises on one leg while standing on the edge of a step. The step provides full range of motion (deep stretch below and full contraction above) and single-leg loading doubles the demand per calf.

Single Leg Calf Raise Off Step Instructions
- Stand on a step with the ball of your right foot on the edge. Heel hanging off.
- Tuck your left foot behind your right ankle. Hold a wall for balance.
- Lower your right heel as far as possible for a deep stretch.
- Press through the ball of your foot to raise as high as possible.
- Squeeze your calf at the top.
- Lower under control.
- Complete reps, then switch legs.
- Aim for 15 to 20 reps per leg.
