Description

The lying bent legs raise is a regression of the straight leg raise. The lifter lies on the back and lifts the bent knees up toward the chest. The bent knees shorten the lever and scale the load. It is a useful starter move for the lower abs.

  1. Lie on your back on the floor.
  2. Place the hands at the sides for support.
  3. Bend the knees with feet on the floor.
  4. Brace your core hard.
  5. Lift the bent knees up toward the chest.
  6. Continue lifting until the thighs are vertical.
  7. Curl the hips up off the floor at the top.
  8. Lower the legs back down with control.
