Description
The lateral step up with knee drive is a unilateral leg drill done from a box placed to the side. After stepping up, the trail leg drives high to a marching position which adds hip flexor work and balance training.

Lateral Step Up with Knee Drive Instructions
- Stand sideways next to a box or step.
- Place the inside foot on top of the box.
- Brace the core and keep the chest up.
- Drive through the box foot to step up.
- Drive the trail knee high to a marching position.
- Hold the balance position briefly at the top.
- Step the trail foot back down to the floor.
- Continue for the working set then switch sides.
