Description
The kettlebell seated one arm military press is a strict shoulder press performed seated with a kettlebell in one hand. The seated position eliminates leg drive and forces the shoulder to do all the work. The single kettlebell load also trains anti-lateral flexion in the trunk.
Equipment Required
Kettlebell Seated One Arm Military Press Instructions
- Sit on a bench with back support holding a kettlebell at the shoulder.
- Keep the wrist neutral and the kettlebell resting on the back of the forearm.
- Plant your feet flat and brace your core.
- Press the kettlebell straight up overhead.
- Lock out the elbow at the top with the kettlebell over your shoulder.
- Resist any side lean from the load.
- Lower the kettlebell back to the shoulder with control.
- Complete reps before switching sides.
