  1. Stand below a hangboard with sloping holds.
  2. Reach up and place the fingers on the slope.
  3. Set the fingers flat with an open hand grip.
  4. Engage your shoulders and pull them down.
  5. Lift your feet off the ground to hang from the slope.
  6. Press the fingers into the slope to hold the grip.
  7. Keep the body steady and avoid swinging.
  8. Lower your feet back down with control.
